Steve is a long time self professed workaholic as well as being a long time friend of DP David Dawson. They went to college together and were both nominated for EMMY awards for a Star Wars fan film; Spoof Wars: Episode MICK: Generation Jedi which they did as a school project while in college. Steven has received other awards as well for his writing and producing short subjects. His first college project Don’t Ask Don’t Tell had been his first EMMY nomination. He has received other film festival awards for his short The Trouble With Porn.
Steve had acted in Community Theater for several years, What’s The Vig? is his first feature film.
David Dawson first approached Steve about What’s The Vig? asking him if he would either want to crew for the film or audition for a part. Steve had a heavy work schedule and was so busy that he would not have the time to crew for the film but acting a part should fit his schedule. “Great, I have the perfect role for you. You play a perverted stalker!” Did I mention he was and still is my best friend?
Steve is currently a production assistant for KUSI-TV 9/51 in San Diego where his main position is floor director for the 6, 10 and 11pm news.
